Conveyor Systems & Equipment Supply

Melbourne-manufactured conveyor systems, overhead rail, mechanical handling equipment and processing aids - designed, fabricated and installed by our own team.

Manufactured in Melbourne. Installed by Our Own Team.

The processing equipment in a meat facility works harder, gets washed down more aggressively and operates in more demanding conditions than almost any other industrial application. Generic equipment adapted from other industries rarely survives long in an abattoir environment - and equipment that fails mid-shift costs far more in lost throughput and emergency repair than it saved on purchase price.

Meatlink Engineering manufactures conveyor systems, overhead rail and mechanical handling equipment in our Melbourne workshop. Every item is designed from first principles for the processing application it will serve - the species, the throughput rate, the hygiene requirements and the physical environment it operates in.

We use Australian-standard stainless steel and structural materials throughout. Our workshop is equipped to handle the full fabrication sequence from raw material to finished, tested equipment - and we install with our own qualified tradespeople, not subcontractors.

That means one team from design through to commissioning, one warranty to deal with, and one phone number to call if something needs attention after installation. For processors who need equipment that performs from day one and keeps performing, that accountability matters.

What's Involved

From specification through to site commissioning - the complete equipment supply and installation process.

  1. 01

    Equipment Specification

Defining the exact conveyor type, capacity, drive configuration and material specification required for your processing sequence and throughput. We specify to the application - not to a product catalogue - so you get equipment that actually fits your operation.

  2. 02

    Design & Engineering

Producing detailed engineering drawings for each equipment item, including structural calculations where required. Our designs are prepared to meet Australian Standards and are suitable for submission to regulators and certifiers as part of a broader facility approval package.

  3. 03

    Manufacture

Fabricating equipment in our Melbourne workshop to the approved drawings, using Australian-standard materials. Our fabrication process includes inspection at each stage - weld quality, dimensional accuracy and surface finish are all checked against specification before the item progresses.

  4. 04

    Factory Testing

Running completed equipment through a factory acceptance test before it leaves our workshop. Problems found in the factory are far cheaper to fix than problems found on site - factory testing is a non-negotiable step in our process.

  5. 05

    Site Installation

Delivering and installing equipment with our own qualified tradespeople - not subcontracted out. Our installation crews understand the equipment they're installing because they work alongside the fabrication team - which means faster installation, fewer problems and a cleaner commissioning process.

The Advantage of Australian-Made

Local manufacture, direct installation accountability and fully custom engineering - not catalogue selection.

No Supply Chain Risk

Equipment is manufactured in our Melbourne facility. There are no imported lead times or third-party fabricators to manage. When your project has a programme, our manufacturing schedule aligns to it - not to an overseas shipping container.

Design and Install Accountability

Because we design and install the same equipment, there's one point of accountability for performance and warranty. No finger-pointing between designer and fabricator, no disputes between fabricator and installer - just a single team responsible for the outcome.

Fully Customised

Every conveyor and handling system is built to your specific processing requirements - not selected from a catalogue and adapted. Custom engineering means the equipment integrates cleanly with your floor plan, your services and your processing sequence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our conveyor and equipment manufacturing service.

What species and processing applications do you manufacture equipment for?

We manufacture equipment for Beef, Sheep, Goat, Camel and other species. Applications include kill floor conveyors, boning room overhead rail, carcass handling systems, hide and offal handling, and associated mechanical aids.

What warranty do you provide on manufactured equipment?

All equipment manufactured by Meatlink Engineering carries a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship from date of commissioning. Extended service and maintenance arrangements are available on request.

Can you supply equipment for an existing facility without doing the full project?

Yes. We regularly supply and install individual equipment items into existing facilities. Provide us with your existing drawings or dimensions and we'll design to fit.
